Kitty in the Box series was based on a prototype I made when we were making html5 games. We transferred to Unity engine with 3D graphics because most of the team members have 3D art backgrounds.

I later helped design the level generation mechanic and the physics of the cat.

Instead of another infinite runner, the sequel was a level-based puzzle game. Players are asked to slingshot the cat into the final golden box. As the main level designer, I designed 90% of the levels and the different map mechanics of different worlds. Some levels may have slippery ice blocks others may have blocks that accelerate the cat.

For every level, there is a hidden path that can achieve a “hole-in-one” shot. Finding all of them requires that players think outside the box from time to time.

I also helped design and program the dressing room layout and some other UIs.
